
Hypertag® technology has changed promotional events and out-of-home advertising forever by providing sponsors and brands with a way to interact with consumers and extend their brand beyond the promotional person or poster.
Hypertags are small electronic tags embedded in an outdoor poster and display stands or worn on a sash or belt by promotional staff. The promotional staff or poster signage invite the consumers to interact with the Hypertag to download information and branded promotional material. Wearable Hypertags are used at product launches, music festivals, sporting events and trade shows by brands looking to add value to the entertainment experience and engage with patrons in a more positive and memorable way. Wearable tags enable the brand promotional team to roam freely around any event while distributing rich and valuable branded mobile content and giveaways to the patrons.
Hypertags work by interacting with infra-red or Bluetooth® mobile phones and PDAs (e.g. Palm Pilots or Pocket PCs). Campaigns are fully measurable and empower the advertiser/brand to gain valuable insight into the success and effectiveness of a campaign while effectively tracking the performance of their individual promotional staff.
Consumers simply enable the infra-red or Bluetooth® on their mobile phone within range of the Hypertag and download almost any type of mobile content such as video, animations, music, ringtones, m-coupons, games, or even calendar reminders which can set up an alarm inside the user's phone as a reminder for an upcoming event or important dates.
